Research
This page is sorted (broadly) by research projects, but there’s overlap! I publish in multiple disciplines, with different norms - for example, in the computer sciences, a publication in a conference proceeding is peer-reviewed and equivalent to a peer-reviewed journal article in most social sciences fields. I have marked those equivalent publications with a “*" below.
Current Projects
📝 Cross-domain and Interdisciplinary Data Practice
My current main focus and my dissertation project, I’m framing cross-domain integration (think: synthesis) as a data/information practice so that cross-domain researchers can better understand and articulate how they are integrating data from multiple domains. This work is supported by a SSHRC Doctoral Fellowship and a Coalition Publica Doctoral Scholarship.

🍁 Data and AI Policy in the Public Sector
Working with Kaushar Mahetaji and Ryan Spencer, with support from a Faculty of Information research fellowship, we are exploring connections between government data and AI policy documents.

🎓 Interdisciplinary Expertise
With Malayna Bernstein, with support from a Faculty of Information research fellowship, we are analyzing interviews carried out with expert artist-scholars during a residency at an interdisciplinary research centre to learn about their writing practice and interdisciplinary learning.

⛏️ Archaeological Data
My first experience working as a database administrator and data analyst was for the Stelida Naxos Archaeological Project, led by Tristan Carter.
